Boost your English skills with these  six simple tips

  1. Set Goals
  • Write down your English language goals. This will help you stay accountable. Here are some of the things you should consider when setting goals:

    - Why am I learning English?
    - What do I want to achieve?
    - When do I want to achieve it?
    - How can I reach this goal?

    2. Understand how you learn

  • How do you like to learn English? Understanding this can help you get better more quickly. Ask yourself these
    questions:
    - what types of learning material do you like? This could be books, videos, articles, podcasts or infographics.
    - What types of activities do you find fun for learning? For example, playing games, having discussions, etc.

    3. Get help

  • Join an English language class or find a tutor to help you. This way, you can practice your English and get advice on how to improve. Here are some things to consider:
    - Do you prefer learning online or in a
    classroom?
    - Do you enjoy studying with other
students or alone with a tutor?
    - How much time can you spend on classes?

    4. Practice using English daily

  • Your English language skills will improve faster if you practice regularly. Try completing one of these activities in
    English each day:
    - Watch your favorite shows in English with subtitles.
    - Write a few sentences each day to practice new words you’ve learnt.
    - Use your phone to record yourself speaking in English.

    5. Check your progress

  • Stay excited about study by seeing how much you’ve learnt. Here are some ideas on ways you can achieve this:
    - Compare results from practice excersices to track your English skills development.
    - Ask a teacher if they can give you  regular feedback on your progress in speaking and writing.

    6. Be patient

Lastly, be kind to yourself. Learning a new language takes time.
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes.
    Keep going-you’ll get better!
